I'm starting to get very frustrated. Maddy has speech delays. Her pedi wants her to get some help finally after months of me pressing that her limited vocab and lack of sentences isn't age appropriate. So I've been told to contact the IE people & you know what? They aren't responding to my calls!!!!! I'm so frustrated! I've been trying for almost 2 months now to just get her assessed after originally playing phone tag for 3 days, they just won't return any of my calls. Its been 3 weeks since they've called me back! I want to get Maddy help that she needs and deserves. I want to be able to understand what she's trying to say better. I want her to not be so frustrated when she's trying to tell us something or get mad she has to repeat something a million times before we figure out what she's trying to say. Noah's speech is catching up to where Maddy is & it's not fair for her to have to suffer. I'm reading to her, engaging her and we're getting her to repeat words/phrases if we can. We also try to get her to sing songs. I feel like I'm failing her by not getting her help & I feel like these people who can help are failing her for not responding to my calls. I don't know where else to go or who else to contact or what else I can do at home with her. I'm just so FRUSTRATED!!!
